Zeynep Okyay

ZEYNEP OKYAY, Galatasaray Üniversitesi’ndeki felsefe eğitiminin ardından Bilgi Üniversitesi’nde kültür yönetimi eğitimi aldı. Yüksek lisans projesini “Bağımsız Sanat Alanları Sözlüğü” başlıklı bir demo sözlük üzerine yapan Okyay, iki sene boyunca alanın terminolojisi yeniden belirlemek ve yeni ifade biçimleri yaratmak üzerine çalıştı. Kültür politikaları, sürdürülebilirlik, çağdaş sanat ortamı, bağımsız sanat alanları üzerine düşünüyor, araştırıyor, yazıyor. 2011 yılından bu yana, kurucularından olduğu PASAJ bağımsız sanat alanında katılımcı ve sosyal odaklı işbirliği projeleri yürütüyor. 2016-2017 yılları arasında Creative Europe’un Fransa ofisi Relais Culture Europe tarafından düzenlenen Sheffield, İstanbul, Leipzig, Kiev, Valensiya ve Bergerac’ta gerçekleşen I-team kültürel yaratıcılık formasyon programına burslu katıldı. Aynı sene Fransa, Bosna Hersek ve Türkiye partnerliğinde gerçekleşen Musical Postcards isimli Erasmus+ projesini PASAJ adına yürüttü. Son olarak amberPlatform/BIS’in Horizons 2020 kapsamında ortağı olduğu Trans-making projesi çerçevesinde, İstanbul’da gerçekleşen “Kamusalı Yapmak - Public in the Making” isimli buluşmanın koordinatörlüğünü üstlendi.

ZEYNEP OKYAY, following her philosophy education at Galatasaray University, studied cultural management at Bilgi University. Her master’s project was on a demo glossary named “The Dictionary of Independent Art Spaces”; and for two years, she worked on re-determining the terminology used in the field and on creating new forms of expression. She thinks, researches and writes on cultural policies, sustainability, contemporary arts environment and independent arts spaces. Since 2011, she has been carrying out participatory collaboration projects with social focus at PASAJ independent arts space, which she co-founded. She attended the I-team cultural creativity formation programme between 2016-2017 on scholarship that took place in Sheffield, Istanbul, Leipzig, Kyiv, Valencia and Bergerac organised by Relais Culture Europe, the French office of Creative Europe. During the same year, she led the Erasmus+ project named Musical Postcards organised under the partnership of France, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey on behalf of PASAJ. Lastly, she worked as the coordinator of the “Public in the Making” gathering that took place in Istanbul within the context of the Trans-making project that amberPlatform/BIS is a partner of as part of Horizons 2020.
