Saadet Gündoğdu

SAADET GÜNDOĞDU, Samsun Üniversitesi’nde öğretim üyesidir. Mart 2019’a kadar TÜBİTAK Katip Çelebi ve AHRC Newton Fonları işbirliği kapsamında desteklenen “İstanbul’un Dünya Miras Alanlarını Çoklu Perspektiften Yorumlamak: İstanbul Kara Surları Örneği” projesi kapsamında Bilgi Üniversitesi’nde araştırmacı olarak çalışmıştır. Mimarlık lisans derecesini (2009) ve koruma ve restorasyon üzerine yüksek lisans derecesini Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi’nden almıştır (2012). 2019 Yılında aynı üniversitede gerçekleştirdiği “21. Yüzyıl Dönümünde İnsan Kaynaklı Afetlere Bağlı Gelişen Toplu Göçler ve Geriye Dönüş Süreçlerinde Tarihi Çevreye Yönelik Risklerin Yönetimi” başlıklı çalışması ile doktor ünvanı almıştır. 2010 yılından beri İstanbul Yoros Kalesi Kazı ekibinde görev almaktadır. Gündoğdu çalışmalarını arkeolojik alan koruması, risk durumlarında mirasın korunması ve toplu göçün miras üzerindeki etkisi üzerine yapmaktadır.

SAADET GÜNDOĞDU, is a Assistant Professor at Samsun University. Until March 2019, she worked as a researcher in Bilgi University as part of the “Plural Heritages of Istanbul – The Case of the Land Walls” project funded by the TÜBİTAK Katip Çelebi and AHRC Newton Fund joint programme. She received her undergraduate degree in architecture (2009) and her master’s degree on conservation and restoration (2012) from Yıldız Technical University. In 2019, she received her Ph.D. with her research entitled as “Management of risks for historic environment in mass migration and return processes due to human induced disasters at the turn of the 21st century” at the same university. She has been part of the Istanbul Yoros Castle excavation team since 2010. Gündoğdu continues her studies on the protection of heritage under risk and the effects of mass migrations on heritage.
